Colorado's mountain and desert areas run on different calendars. The National Park Service says Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park climbs to 12,183 feet and connects Estes Park and Grand Lake only in the summer season, with winter closures to through travel. Mesa Verde National Park, in the southwest, is a different setting with its own seasonal volunteer needs. Match a listing's start and end dates to the area where it is located.
Mesa Verde National Park says housing is rarely available to volunteers, especially in summer, that hookups at Morefield Campground are available to volunteers with RVs from late spring to early fall, and that a minimum weekly commitment applies to qualify for housing or an RV space.
