A wage is cash paid for the hours you work. A site exchange trades work hours for an RV site and may include no wage at all; you will find those on listings tagged as including a site and on volunteer listings. A stipend is a set amount, often meant to cover costs such as fuel or propane, and is not the same as a wage.
Some listings combine these, for example a wage plus a site, or a site for a set number of hours with wages only for hours beyond that. When a listing describes pay that way, treat the wage as applying only to the extra hours and ask the employer to confirm.
Check the period next to the number. Pay can be stated per hour, per week or per year, and the figures are not comparable until you convert them. HitchPath shows the pay stated in the source listing and shows no figure where the source gives none. If a number looks wrong for its period, check the original posting or ask the employer.
