Choice Hotels agreed on September 30, 2026 to acquire Harvest Hosts, the RV membership program that lets members stay overnight at wineries, farms, breweries, museums and other host locations. For members, Harvest Hosts says little changes right now: the brand, website and app continue, and there are no current plans to change pricing, benefits or terms because of the deal.
What Choice agreed to buy
Choice press release says the company is acquiring 100% of Harvest Hosts from the growth equity firm Stripes and other shareholders. The all-cash deal is valued at an enterprise value of approximately $130 million, and the release puts the Harvest Hosts network at more than 11,200 locations.
The purchase is of a membership business. Choice isn't buying the farms, wineries or campgrounds that host guests; Harvest Hosts connects travelers with places other people own.
The press release and Harvest Hosts gave an expected closing date of October 1, subject to customary conditions. As of October 8, 2026, neither source confirmed that the closing had been completed.
What Harvest Hosts tells members
Harvest Hosts says it will continue as a standalone brand, and members keep using the existing website and app. There are no current plans to change membership pricing, benefits or terms because of the acquisition, and members and hosts don't need to do anything.
Those are statements about current plans, not a permanent price freeze. When your membership comes up for renewal, check the price and terms shown at that time.
Choice Privileges: nothing announced
The member FAQ says no product, loyalty or systems integration is being announced. That means no announced link between a Harvest Hosts membership and Choice Privileges, and no automatic Harvest Hosts access for Choice's loyalty members.
The figure of roughly two million is easy to misread. According to Harves Host counts Choice Privileges members who took part in RV travel in the past 12 months. It shows how much the two audiences overlap. It isn't a count of new Harvest Hosts members.
What RVers can do in the meantime
Keep using your membership as usual and follow each host's posted rules for a stay rather than assuming anything about future changes. Watch Harvest Hosts' official channels for updates; if a loyalty tie-in ever appears, it will come with its own terms.
