LCI Industries, the parent company of Lippert, announced October 28 that Monomoy Capital Partners has proposed buying the company for $101 per share in cash. The unsolicited proposal is nonbinding: it is an offer under review, not a completed acquisition.

The Patrick merger agreement remains in place

LCI says its existing agreement to combine with Patrick Industries remains in effect and its board continues to recommend that transaction. Patrick reaffirmed its position in an October 28 announcement.

LCI’s board is evaluating the competing proposal with its advisers. The company has not announced a completed sale to Monomoy. In an employee communication filed the same day, interim CEO Johnny Sirpilla said day-to-day operations had not changed.

What this means for RV owners

Lippert supplies components to the RV market, making the ownership discussion relevant beyond investors. However, these announcements do not establish a change to an individual owner’s warranty, a service appointment or the availability of a particular replacement part.

HitchPath’s practical advice is to keep handling maintenance through the appropriate dealer, manufacturer or component supplier. If a repair is pending, ask for written confirmation of the part number, estimated arrival date and warranty authorization. A corporate headline cannot answer those case-specific questions.

A useful checklist for full-time travelers

Before moving to your next campground or workamping assignment, keep these details together:

  • Your RV identification and the affected component’s model and serial number.
  • Purchase records, warranty documents and the service case number.
  • The name of the business responsible for the repair and its written next steps.
  • A plan for where to stay if the repair changes your travel schedule.

These are general planning suggestions, not evidence of a disruption caused by the proposal. Do not postpone a needed repair solely because ownership discussions are making news.

What to watch next

Look for an official board update or a formal transaction announcement. Separate any future corporate decision from specific customer-service guidance: a proposed deal and a change to your service arrangements are different developments.
