Forest Service — Cass Lake, MN, MN
volunteer
Source: Publicly Sourced
Free RV site included.
We currently have Campground Host Openings at Norway Loop and East Seelye Bay Campgrounds. Norway Loop is located on the west shore of Cass Lake and East Seelye is located on Cut Foot Sioux Lake with access to Lake Winnibigoshish. Both campground host sites have access to showers. The Norway Loop site has water and electric available to the host. East Seelye is a smaller campground with 13 sites right on the water.
Duties include answering questions for campers, posting reservations, cleaning bathrooms, and light mowing. Campground hosts do not handle money or perform law enforcement and will be supported by Forest Service staff. We ask campground hosts to provide their own camping accommodations. Please consider joining our team and living on a lake in Northern Minnesota.
Many Campground Hosts on the Chippewa National Forest come back year after year. The Forest Service reimburses some of the cost to live in a campground (currently $25/day seven days a week) beyond providing a free campsite, showers, and laundry where available. Please email: michelle.heiker@usda.gov if you would like more information.
