Burchfield Branch Park is located near Holt Lake on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway northeast of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. With many amenities, access to the water and opportunities to view wildlife, Burchfield Branch provides a convenient camping spot for families, boaters, swimmers, picnickers and sightseers.
Seeking 1 volunteer/set of volunteers to work as volunteer gatehouse attendants for 3-6 months. Volunteer gatehouse attendants are responsible for opening and closing the campground entrance, checking campers in and out (basic computer skill are needed to check campers in and out, as well as to keep track of campground occupancy), verifying day use passes are purchased, making park rounds during shift, and excellent customer service.
Volunteers are not required to handle cash or run credit card transactions. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check. Work schedule is 3 days a week, 6 days off. Some weekends and holidays are required.
