Cut Back Invasive Plants at Gravelly Point!

It won't take you to Oz, but following this yellow brick dashed road trail still leads somewhere green...piles of overgrown invasive plants!

Help our partners Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail clear this wicked vegetation to protect native species and the park's ecological health! With views of the Potomac River and monuments across the water, Gravelly Point needs any and all invasives removed to preserve these vistas.

Eager to get cutting? Meet the Friends by the parking lot at 10:00 AM, where leaders will have all the necessary equipment. Since the worksite is by the water, we reccomend wearing sturdy shoes you don't mind getting wet, and please bring drinking water, too.
