National Capital Parks – East is offering unique SkillBridge opportunities for transitioning military service members to gain hands-on experience in federal administrative operations within the National Park Service!
The Administrative Support Assistant position provides critical support to park leadership and staff, with a strong emphasis on human resources liaison duties. In this role, you will engage in a wide range of administrative functions including personnel action processing, onboarding support, timekeeping, travel coordination, budget tracking, property management, and other office services. The role involves frequent interaction with the Servicing Human Resources Office and offers exposure to federal systems such as FPPS, Quicktime, and eQIP. This is a non-supervisory, GS-0303-05 level position. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, adaptable, proficient in office automation tools, and must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
