Join us in celebrating National Public Lands Day with a meaningful morning of community, conservation, and exploration. We’ll gather at the Penns Woods Winery Tasting Room at 9:30 AM before heading out for a roadside clean-up along Beaver Valley Road and Beaver Dam Road, helping preserve the beauty of First State National Historical Park.
All clean-up supplies — including bags, gloves, and safety vests — will be provided.
Following the clean-up, volunteers are invited to return to the Tasting Room to enjoy a complimentary glass of sangria as a thank-you for your time and service.
Want to explore a little more? Participants are also welcome to join an optional birding walk before the clean-up (8:30am) or a guided hike afterward (11am). These activities are a great opportunity to experience the natural landscape and learn more about the area from local experts.
For your safety and comfort, please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt. Be sure to bring plenty of water.
Due to the roadside nature of this event, only volunteers 18 years and older may participate in the clean-up. All ages are welcome for the Birding Walk and Ranger Hike.
