Host Site Amenities: Campsite with water and sewer hookups, fire rings, and 2 picnic tables. There is no electrical hookup.

 

# of Sites: 53 campsites (6 tent only campsites and 47 tent or RV campsites and 4 picnic areas.


# of Bathrooms: 5 double flush toilets, 4 vault toilets (14 toilets total)


Site Amenities: Water, garbage service, boat launch ramp, boat dock, 92-acre lake stocked through the summer season by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, fish cleaning station, partially paved 2.6-mile National Recreation Trail around the lake


Campground Operation Season: Jubilee Lake is typically open from July 1 through October 15. The peak season is July 4th weekend through Labor Day weekend.


Host Schedule: On duty Thursday through Monday, off-duty Tuesday/Wednesday, ~6 hours per day.

 

Host Duties: The volunteer will use their personal vehicle to conduct business; the Forest Service will provide all tools and supplies. Duties include the following and require light physical exertion:

·        Clean restrooms

·        Keep toilet paper stocked

·        Clean campsites (Remove excess ash and debris from fire rings, pick up trash at site, etc.)

·        Rake debris and remove vegetation from around fire rings to prevent fires from spreading

·        Remove any rope, nails, or other items that are tied to or embedded in trees

·        Periodically check information board and signs in the campground and report to Forest Service staff if they need maintenance or replacement

·        Keep paved trail clear of debris

·        Minor maintenance (pruning vegetation, painting tables, etc.)

·        Monitor the campground and facilities for safety hazards (i.e. broken tree limbs, rotten table benches, etc.). 

·        Visitor assistance (answer visitor questions about the area, available activities/sights, rules)

·        Occupancy and fee compliance checks

·        Record keeping (number of hours worked/miles driven, which sites are occupied daily, personal reimbursements, etc.)

·        Parking management on peak weekends

·        Post campsite reservation tags

 

Host Reimbursements: 

·        $37.45/day per diem

·        Current government rate ($.70/mile) for mileage associated with campground operations and maintenance.

·        Propane expenses are reimbursed with receipts.
