Mni Owe Sni/Coldwater Crew

Drop in and get your hands dirty while restoring native plant habitat with the Mni Owi Sni/Coldwater Crew! If you like to work with your hands, be outdoors, and create tangible change in the environment, this opportunity is for you! 

No experience necessary; all equipment and training provided on-site.

What You’ll Do: Volunteers are stewards of the oak savanna, prairie, and forest habitats at Mni Owe Sni. Activities include invasive species removal, tree/plug planting, mulching, and other outdoor restoration tasks

Time: Every Thursday from 9am to 12pm. You can attend shifts as available and are not required to attend each. You can sign up for shifts directly at Mni Owe Sni/Coldwater Crew Shift Sign-up!

Location: Mni Owe Sni/Coldwater Spring: 5601 Minnehaha Park Dr S., Minneapolis, MN 55417

Terrain: Terrain is mostly flat and includes gravel/dirt paths.

Minimum Qualifications

• All volunteers under the age of 18 must have a volunteer service agreement complete with a parent or legal guardian's signature before volunteering. Email miss_volunteer@nps.gov for more information.
• Volunteers must be 16 years old or older to participate without an adult present.
• Must be comfortable being outside for three hours, walking on uneven ground, standing, crouching and/or kneeling.
• The event will be entirely outside. Please prep and plan for the day's weather conditions.
