Are you passionate about history and eager to share fascinating and complex stories from the past? We invite you to become a Visitor Center Greeter at Manhattan Project National Historical Park in Los Alamos, NM! Join us in welcoming visitors from around the world and help them explore the history and legacy of the Manhattan Project.


Responsibilities

As a Visitor Center Greeter, your primary duties will include:

  • Welcoming Visitors: Greet guests with a friendly demeanor as they enter the visitor center. Make them feel at home!
  • Providing Information: Share engaging information about the park, including exhibits, tours, and available resources. Help visitors understand the importance of the Manhattan Project and its impact on history.
  • Assisting with Directions: Guide visitors to key locations within Los Alamos and answer any questions they may have about their visit.
  • Supporting Events and Programs: Help with the setup and facilitation of special events and programs aimed at enriching visitor experiences.
  • Gathering Feedback: Encourage visitors to share their experiences and insights, helping us to continually improve our offerings.

Qualifications

Passion for history and education

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to provide friendly and informative assistance to diverse groups of people

Willingness to learn about the Manhattan Project, its historical context, and legacy.


NO Housing or Reimbursements

No housing, campsites or other arrangements for sleeping quarters.
