Gulf Islands Campground Host: August 1 - November 30, 2026

Gulf Islands National Seashore is seeking to fill one (1) campground host position at the Davis Bayou Campground. The Davis Bayou Campground is located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Campground hosts work 32 hours per week, per person from August 1 - November 30, 2026. Host duties include greeting and assisting visitors by answering questions, explaining regulations, assisting guests with locating their campsite, and performing light maintenance and clean up around the campground, including campground bathrooms. Hosts must be friendly, outgoing, and willing to seek guests out. Hosts will not be required to handle any law enforcement issues. All violations to the local dispatch and law enforcement rangers will be contacted.

Park staff will provide training and support for assigned duties. Hosts perform duties independently without direct supervision. Staff will make regular contact to provide support, heavy maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
