2026 National Public Lands Day at Valles Caldera

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering at Valles Caldera National Preserve.

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026

Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm

Meeting Location: Volcano Discovery Center

Volunteers will assist with projects that help protect and maintain the natural resources of Valles Caldera National Preserve. Duties may include:

• Picking up litter and debris along NM-4 and disposing of it in designated trash receptacles.
• Building bumper logs that will be strategically placed around the park to help prevent vehicles from leaving designated road corridors and damaging vegetation.
