Interpretation & Visitor Services Volunteer (West District)

Join the west district interpretation staff at Mount Rainier for the fall shoulder season! We are looking to fill one to three positions that will provide visitor services at the Longmire Museum in Longmire and Jackson Visitor Center located at Paradise. Work duties include staffing the visitor center front desk, roving area trails to connect with visitors on PSAR and resource education, and the opportunity to provide formal or informal programming based on your interest and experience. Work schedule is 32 hours per week and will include weekends and holidays, including Thanksgiving and winter break. Formal training and on-the-job training will be provided. Housing will be provided within walking distance of worksite. Housing may be a private or shared room. Exact start and end dates are negotiable, but we ask for at least a two month commitment between September 20 and April 30. Applicants must be U.S. citizens for the required background investigation.
