The Safford Ranger District, Coronado National Forest, is looking to fill volunteer campground host positions in several locations on Mt. Graham.

Duties include:

  • Inspections/cleaning of recreation facilities, including picking up litter, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying fire pits.
  • Greet visitors and provide information to the public about recreation opportunities.
  • Ensures visitors are paying fees and complying with the rules/regulations.
  • Communicates with Forest Service employees regarding maintenance issues, compliance issues, and necessary supplies.
  • Set an example by being a model camper.

Expected reporting and departure dates can be negotiated; however, the majority of work will be during the summer season, between May and September, for approximately 18-24 hours. The work will be primarily outdoors in all types of weather and may be at high elevations. Weekend and holiday work is expected
