Cape Cod Canal - Park Attendant (Summer 2027)

The Cape Cod Canal is looking for highly motivated individuals or couples to fill multiple Volunteer Park Attendant positions for the 2027 recreation season.

Daily work involves opening, closing and maintaining recreation area bathroom facilities. Cleaning and inspecting recreation area amenities (picnic tables, bulletin boards, benches, water fountains, trash cans). Loose litter pick up of recreation areas and Canal service roads as well as small maintenance tasks.

Position includes high visitor interaction. Park attendants must have a desire to meet and interact with people from varied backgrounds and lifestyles. It will not be your responsibility to enforce the rules and regulations; however, you will need to be comfortable speaking with visitors about our policies.

Position requires a 6-month commitment, late April thru mid-October. Park attendants work a schedule of 4 days on – 4 days off and share responsibilities of their area with another couple or individual. Weekends and holidays required.
