POSITION SUMMARY

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Table Rock Lake is seeking friendly, computer-literate, and adaptable volunteers to serve as Office Support for the Project. Located in the beautiful tourism hub of Branson, Missouri, this vital role helps us welcome visitors from across the country, provide accurate local information, and assist in daily administrative operations. If you enjoy public service, are highly comfortable with computers, and want to support our public lands, we would love to have you join our team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administrative Support: Operating computer databases, answering phone inquiries, and routing incoming calls.

• Visitor Services: Welcoming walk-in visitors, answering local/recreational questions, and providing maps.

• Fee Collection & Pass Sales: Selling park passes and day-use passes using government point-of-sale software. (Note: Comprehensive, step-by-step training on all federal point-of-sale systems and fee collection procedures will be fully provided to ensure your success!)

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Commitment: Minimum of 6 months.

• Schedule: Average of 24 hours per week (not to exceed 36 hours in any given week).

• Technical Skills: High computer literacy, familiarity with office software, and adaptability to new digital databases. Most of the work will involve sedentary computer tasks.

• Physical Demands (ADA Compliant): Sedentary role. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods behind an information desk, operate computer/telephone systems, and communicate clearly in person with a diverse public.

LODGING AND BENEFITS

• Full Hookup RV On-Site: A dedicated, full-hookup RV site (water, sewer, and electric) is provided at one of the two volunteer villages located around the dam.

• Site Sharing & Couples Accommodations: Due to site-sharing and physical layout limits, a single RV pad is provided. This setup is highly suited for couples, co-habitating partners, or individuals sharing a single, self-sustained RV.

SECURITY & BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMETNS

To ensure public safety and enable authorized access to secure federal computer systems and fee-collection processes, selected candidates must successfully complete a federal Tier 1 Background Investigation and pass a Special Agreement Check (SAC) FBI Fingerprint Check. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will facilitate and guide you through this process.
