Lake Mead Grounds and Maintenance Support - Katherine's Landing Area

Description of Duties: The goal of this program is to assist our facilities and maintenance staff with capacity to accomplish projects throughout the park. 

Administrative Responsibilities:

Volunteer will document accomplishments, hours worked, and other administrative forms.  

Landscaping and grounds work:

Works in collaboration with facilities and maintenance staff to keep campgrounds, housing areas, and visitor center tidy and presentable. Utilizes equipment to trim vegetation, repair irrigation issues, remove graffiti from buildings and other structures, and assists campground volunteer with maintaining the grounds.

Housing:

Assists to prepare a government furnished home for the next tenant - vacuum, clean windows, wipe down counters, clean appliances, and assist with minor repairs.

Assist with work orders to correct issues:

Works alongside and aids a maintenance or facilities employee to correct issues reported through the work order process. Assists with projects such as painting, assist with minor housing repairs, and assist with installing signs.
