Southwest Arizona National Wildlife Refuge Complex Volunteer 2026

The Southwest Arizona National Wildlife Refuge Complex is composed of the Cibola, Imperial and Kofa National Wildlife Refuges. Each refuge has its unique traits and plays an important role in conservation in the southwest. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping the Complex meet its management goals and informing the public about the Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Wildlife Refuge System and the refuges within the Complex specifically. Volunteers for the Complex Visitor Center will help visitors learn more about these refuges and provide directions to each. To learn more about the refuges please visit Cibola NWR, Imperial NWR, and Kofa NWR.

The SWAZ Complex Visitor Center Volunteer position requires a commitment of 24-30 hours per volunteer per week. Teams of couples are preferred, but not mandatory, we have an opening for one team. Important note: Lodging is not avail for the duration of the volunteer term (We are currently seeking volunteers for October 2026 – March 2027). Shorter or longer tours are negotiable.
