Welcome the autumn season by helping our partners the Potomac Conservancy remove litter and protect local waterways!

This park uniquely blends history and recreation, with trails and fishing piers surrounding the Chesapeake Bay's only remaining riverside lighthouse while a playground and community garden engage families. Being such a popular place, there's bound to be garbage left behind, and every bit risks entering the nearby Potomac River to endanger visitor and wildlife health alike.

Ready to improve water quality and clean the park? Meet the Conservancy by the parking lot at 9:00 AM, where group leaders will hand out the necessary equipment. In case you venture into wooded areas, we recommend wearing long sleeves + pants and sturdy shoes to guard against thorns and poison ivy.

Register to join this event both below and at the Conservancy's website!
