Event Volunteer

Event volunteers will assist employees at First Ladies National Historic Site in setting up, staffing, and tearing down at events held outside regular site operations. Responsibilities vary and could include tabling/interacting with visitors, crowd control, etc.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with events for both the NPS and its nonprofit partner, National First Ladies Library and Museum. Events are held both on and offsite. Past events have included:

·   Canton First Fridays 

·   Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Community Parade 

·   Farmers Markets 

·   Volunteer Recruitment Fairs 

·   Onsite Holiday Decorating 

·   Onsite Candlelight Tours  

·   Canton Pickle Fest

·   Book signings 

·   Teas 

·   Third Thursdays 

·   Fundraisers 

·   Open Houses  

Volunteers will determine their own schedule.
