When botanical invaders attack our haven, it's time to give 'em Belle!

Help our partners Friends of Mount Vernon Trail clear invasive plants to improve the park's recreational areas and ecosystems! A popular locale for picnics, biking, and leisurely strolls, Belle Haven is also full of non-native vegetation trying to smother the park's natural elegance. We need your effort and eager hands to get rid of these pesky plants and keep the park as beautiful as its name signifies!

Meet fellow volunteers at the water fountain/benches across from the bathrooms at 9:00 AM to receive equipment and instructions from Friends leaders. To guard against thorny plants and possible poison ivy, please wear long sleeves and pants, high socks, and sturdy footwear. There's plenty of parking near the meeting point, too.
