Are you interested in exploring a new area and meeting new people? Theodore Roosevelt National Park is looking for engaging campground hosts for the Cottonwood Campground. Hosts represent the national park to local, national, and international visitors. They answer questions, provide orientation, and document reserved campsites.
This opportunity will be located in the Cottonwood Campground in the South Unit of the park near Medora, ND. Cottonwood Campground has 72 sites for tent and RV campers. Half of the sites are on recreation.gov while the remaining half are first come. first serve. Bison and deer are known to frequent the Cottonwood Campground. Cell phone signal is extremely limited in the campground but can be found a short distance away.
Volunteer for the entire summer, May 15, 2026 - September 30, 2026, or a minimum of 4 weeks.
The campground host site is 40 X 20. Power/Water/Sewer hookups are available. Water is generally turned on in the campground in mid-May, however that is weather dependent.
