Clean up this scenic waterside retreat alongside our partners Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail! A boating, hiking, picnicking paradise, the park deserves to be free of pollution and invasive species for all who cherish it. Plus, who wants a view like this spoiled by litter and overgrown non-native plants?
Meet Friends group leaders at the park's comfort station at 10:00 AM; all the gear you'll need for tackling garbage or vegetation is plentifully provided. We recommend wearing clothes that guard against thorns/poison ivy, as you never know what you may encounter during your service.
