To celebrate Public Lands Day, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is hosting a clean-up event at Miners Castle Beach. Drop in at any time on Friday, October 2 between 11:00am and 2:00pm to help clean up litter and debris on the beach and in the surrounding area.
Volunteers should meet rangers near the Miners Beach public parking lot and bathrooms.
Trash bags, buckets, trash grabbers, gloves, and high visibility vests will be available to participants. All volunteers are encouraged to bring bug spray, sunscreen, water, and snacks. It is recommended to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and wear closed toe shoes.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
