What better way to get down and dirty than by helping maintain the Perimeter Trail?
Winding five miles around the entire park, it often needs volunteer assistance with vegetation trimming, debris raking, and surface widening to ensure optimal conditions for visitors.
Meet park rangers at the Sweetgum Picnic Area parking lot at 9:00 AM. All supplies, tools, and safety briefings will be provided. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, lightweight long pants and sleeves, a hat, and bring water. This opportunity is perfect for groups and students in need of service hours, though anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
