Family Day on Little Rock Nine Way Event Volunteer

Have you been looking for an opportunity to celebrate and give back to the Central High Community?

You are invited to volunteer alongside Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site for our second annual Family Day on Little Rock Nine Way!

This free, family-friendly event will take place Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm CST. The event will take place largely outside where there will be live music and entertainment, games and actives, food trucks, and community resources and information.

We will need volunteers to assist with setup prior to the event (beginning around 8:30am that Saturday), breakdown after the event (beginning around 2:00pm that Saturday), aiding at activity booths, visitor orientation, general maintenance, etc.

Volunteers should expect to work:

• Outside in Arkansas Summer weather (i.e. hot, humid, sunny)
• Standing for prolonged amounts of time (2+ hours at a time)
• In exposure to/ around large crowds or people of differing backgrounds, needs, and ages

Volunteers will be given necessary PPE, training/ orientation, and uniform items (including a free Volunteer t-shirt) at the beginning of their shift.
