Caring for a historic national cemetery is a solemn and labor intensive job. From April through October, our maintenance team devotes nearly 100 hours week ensuring the grass that blankets the cemetery is cut and trimmed. Other tasks include maintaining exhibits, monuments and headstones, trimming trees, and turf management. All of this work is needed to ensure that this memorial landscape provides visitors with a beautiful setting to contemplate the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today.

We're looking for volunteers aged 18 years or older who are willing to commit to at least one 4-8 hour shift of hard work per week in return for the satisfaction of ensuring this special place looks its best for the thousands of people who visit each year.

We are looking for volunteers in the local commuting area who can commit to working 4-8 hours per week. Our primary work days in the national cemetery are Tuesday-Thursday, but will consider applicants who are available on other days.
