Celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping care for Lake Powell!


Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the City of Page invite volunteers to join the Lake Powell Shoreline Sweep on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers will help remove trash and litter along the shoreline between Main Ramp and Swim Beach in Wahweap, helping protect park resources and keep this popular recreation area clean for everyone to enjoy.


Participants will meet at Main Ramp, just past Lake Powell Resort. Location coordinates: 37.005306, -111.494985


NPS will provide:

  • trash bags
  • gloves
  • grabbers
  • other cleanup supplies.

What to bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Sun protection, such as a hat and sunscreen
  • A full reusable water bottle

Families and youth are welcome. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


Register by sending an email to Adam_Rymer@nps.gov and/or Alex_Anderson@nps.gov. Advance registration is encouraged so we can plan for supplies and participation, but walk-ins are welcome.
