Park Host Goose Point Park Philpott Lake

USACE project, Philpott Lake, in southern Virginia needs volunteer park hosts for Goose Point Park in Patrick County, VA.

Season: Goose Point Park positions are available from April 2026 through Oct. 2026

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - 3 days on, 4 days off.

Full hookup campsite available.

Duties: Volunteers will be required to occupy the gatehouse for at least 4 hours per day, post daily reports, use your personal vehicle to check campsites for late check-ins, check campers in/out, answer phone calls and visitor questions regarding recreation opportunities, explain reservation procedures to campers. relay issues to park rangers, be available to assist visitors/campers at all hours while on duty, and communicate/relay information with weekend park hosts regarding reservations.
