Fort Washington Park Historic Dancing Group

Volunteer tasks include: 

• Participating in historic dances at the park for the public and representing the park through dances off-site 
• Rehearsing for the dances 

Physical Requirements of Work:   

• Ability to stand/dance for moderate to long periods of time 
• Ability to learn new skills related to the task at hand 

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience, ability):  

• Wear personal or NPS owned historic clothing 
• Have knowledge of various dances and etiquette from the 1800s 
• Ability to be a team player, follow instructions, and implement safety techniques 

Required training, certifications, or licenses: 

• Participate in orientation and training before starting position.
