Celebrate National Park Week with Missouri National Recreational River and our amazing friends group by taking care of the Frost Trail! Come cleanup along the Frost Trail Saturday August 29th from 9am-11am at the Intersection of SD Highway 19 and Dakota Street, Vermillion, SD. Volunteers will work together to pick up litter along the Gunderson Backwater and keep the river corridor clean for all.
Cleanup supplies (gloves, trash bags, grabbers, etc.) will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and long pants as we may be walking off trail, and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
We ask that volunteers meet us at the head of Frost Trail to receive supplies and a debrief. To register volunteers can sign up through volunteer.gov where you will then be able to fill out your volunteer service agreement, call to receive information and provide a contact for us to send you the volunteer agreement, or come morning of where you can sign the volunteer agreement before starting. If you have any question about the event, please feel free to contact us at 605-665-0209 x21 or hannah_ringquist@partner.nps.gov.
