You’ve heard of adopt a park! You’ve heard of adopt a highway! Well, now at Bandelier
National Monument, you could adopt a spot! We have mapped out a few areas around our
visitor center, around the main Pueblo Loop Trail, and out to Alcove House! These areas
are in need of constant monitoring whether it is invasive weed pulling, trash pick-up,
resource data collection, etc. We are asking volunteers to come down and pick an area
that best suits your physical needs, and you could be passionate about. You could choose
an area by the historic buildings/visitor center to be closer to your car and bathrooms, or
you could choose to be out in an area that is a little more secluded to double as solo
relaxation time as well! Time commitments are subject to each person. If you can come an
hour a week, great! If you can come 4 hours a month, great! If your spot is needing extra
TLC, you can be here all day every day! Different sites will require different trainings. Spots
will be first come, first serve and not assigned until training is complete.
