Halloween Trash Bash at Columbia Island!

Careful where you fish; you might hook the dreaded Trash Terror of the Potomac!

Have a monstrously exciting time cleaning up pollution with our partners the Potomac Conservancy this Halloween! With litter leviathans lurking around Columbia Island and in its waterways, we need as many hands as possible to drive this ghastly garbage out and keep the park healthy.

Feeling brave enough to join our campaign? We set out from the marina at 9:00 AM to hunt down the rampant refuse; you can grab equipment from Conservancy leaders or bring your own, if desired. Don your cold weather armor (or favorite costume!) to fight off the airborne chill and proper footwear should you tread near the water.
