Give thanks to Mother Nature by removing invasive plants from this lively wildlife preserve!
Thanksgiving weekend is the perfect chance to clear strangling, smothering vegetation alongside our partners Friends of Dyke Marsh. Just as we're grateful for our homes and families, so are the animals dwelling here. However, invasive plant species can overtake their habitats if not kept at bay, so we need your help clearing them to keep Dyke Marsh thriving.
Meet other volunteers and Friends leaders by the Haul Road trail entrance at 10:00 AM; you can bring your own equipment, though some will be provided, too. Be sure to dress for the weather in clothes that guard against thorns/poison ivy and bring your own water.
Give thanks, cut plants: sign up below and on the Friends' website to join!
