Want to volunteer with the National Park Service—but can’t commit to a regular daytime schedule?
Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is looking for Event Volunteers to help with special programs and events throughout the year!
Our events take place at a variety of times—including evenings and weekends—making this a great opportunity for working adults, students, retirees, and others who would like to volunteer at a national park but aren't able to make a regular weekly commitment.
Event Volunteers help our staff provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for visitors. Depending on the event, duties may include:
No two events are exactly alike, and you'll have the opportunity to work alongside National Park Service staff while meeting visitors from the St. Louis area and around the country.
You don't have to volunteer every week. You don't have to give up your weekends. And you don't have to commit to a regular schedule.
Event Volunteers can sign up for individual events or occasional opportunities based on their availability.
Whether you can help for one evening, a Saturday morning, a special program, or several events throughout the year, your time makes a difference!
If you've ever thought, “I'd love to volunteer at a national park, but I just don't have the time for a regular volunteer schedule,” this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Come be part of the team at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site and help us welcome visitors, support special programs, and share America's national parks with the public.
