This is a remote opportunity.


Jewel Cave NM is looking for volunteers to translate safety and educational brochures into non-English languages (Japanese, Spanish, French, Korean, Russian, or Italian) to reach a wider audience of park visitors.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·     Virtual Volunteers will communicate with park staff to gain an understanding of the specifics of the project.

·        Virtual Volunteers will work with the existing document and/or signage and the project leader to create a corrected, updated version of the document or signage in the agreed language. 

·        Volunteer will complete project according to agreed-upon timeline.

Hours will vary depending on the project, but per project should require between 1 and 4 hours.


Volunteer should be fluent in a non-English language and have the ability to translate from English into said language. Ability to read English fluently, as well as, the ability to operate computers and use word processing is necessary. Volunteer will use personal equipment for tasks, this may include computer, dictionaries, and translation software.
