Persimmon Gap Visitor Center Host-December-January

Persimmon Gap Visitor Center is at the northern entrance of the park. Visitor Center Hosts greet and orient visitors to Big Bend National Park and Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River, collect entrance fees, and sell bookstore merchandise. Hosts make sure visitors have a safe, enjoyable visit and know park rules and regulations.

Work hours: 32 hours per week, three days in the Visitor Center and one day for projects/learning the park. You will commute 25 miles each day to your assignment using a government vehicle. Host must furnish their own RV or trailer. The RV or trailer must have a self-contained shower and toilet. Electrical, water and sewer hookups are provided at Panther Junction free of charge and propane is reimbursable. Laundry facilities are provided.
