Jones Point Park Potomac River Trash Cleanup

National Park Service — Alexandria, VA, VA

This might be a few days before Thanksgiving, but it's never too early to show gratitude for nature!

Pitch in with our partners the Potomac Conservancy to clear pollution from this popular recreational park! With the river close by and the Mount Vernon Trail passing through, Jones Point Park sees lots of activity...and the accompanying litter. It's crucial to remove this waste before it contaminates the water, and we need your help doing so.

Ready to lend a hand? Meet the Conservancy in the parking lot at 9:00 AM, where you'll receive the proper equipment for the morning. It'll likely be chilly, so dress warmly and bring drinking water with you, too.

Sign up today to keep Jones Point garbage-free!
