National Capital Parks – East is providing transitioning military service members with SkillBridge opportunities supporting museum collections and curatorial operations!


The Museum Technician position offers hands-on experience in caring for and managing historical and cultural artifacts. You will assist with unpacking, cleaning, cataloging, and storing museum objects, ensuring proper documentation and preservation. Duties include maintaining curatorial records, supporting exhibit installation and maintenance, conducting environmental monitoring, and helping with annual inventory tasks. The role also involves responding to research inquiries, supervising visitors in the museum facility, and providing logistical support to researchers. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and interested in cultural resource stewardship.
