Wildlife Support Volunteer

Within the Wildlife Division at Redwood National and State Parks, there are projects that take place largely in backcountry environments throughout the year, with surveys typically between May and August.

You may support a range of needs working alongside the park's Wildlife Technicians.

Starting in May, we will need two volunteers to support Humboldt marten surveys. Two volunteers also will have the opportunity to contribute to Mardon skipper surveys. Survey days will begin between 7-8 AM lasting until 4-5 PM.

This position is not eligible for housing, including an RV pad. You must live within a commutable distance (maximum 50 miles).
