No need to feel "board" over the weekend when invasive plants need clearing!
Pitch in alongside our partners Friends of Dyke Marsh to remove smothering vegetation and protect a delicate ecosystem! Not just a rare freshwater wetland, the marsh is also a wildlife haven and recreational paradise, but non-native species threaten to overtake and spoil the park for animals and visitors.
Ready to help out? Meet at the Haul Road Trailhead at 10:00 AM where Friends group leaders will have the necessary equipment (though you can always bring your own gloves/tools). Since we'll be working amongst plants, please wear clothes that protect against possible thorns & poison ivy...and can get a bit wet.
We're counting on you to keep Dyke Marsh healthy, so sign up today and at the Friends of Dyke Marsh's website!
Apply on the official agency site (link above).
