Moab BLM Fall 2026 Camp Hosts

Campground hosts will represent the BLM and provide visitor information, encourage fee compliance, conduct daily campground inspections, and assist with fee envelope and toilet paper restocking. These positions do not include cleaning or maintenance tasks such as cleaning vault toilets or shoveling fire pits. Expect daily interactions with visitors, including answering questions regarding area recreational opportunities, and informing visitors of rules and regulations within the campground. Opportunities to participate in invasive weeds removal are encouraged but not required. Report needed repairs and incidents to BLM staff. Fall season generally runs from September through early December.

Hosts are expected to be able to reside in their home campground, and are provided a campsite for the duration of their volunteership, which includes parking space for 2 vehicles (RVs welcome and encouraged), picnic table, fire ring, and access to vault toilets and dumpster services. Campgrounds do not provide direct hookups to water or electricity. Many host sites have a wastewater vault for RV dumping needs. Campground hosts are supported in various ways including but not limited to: access to solar trailers for electricity needs, water tanks, ice machine, and shower facilities.
