Volunteers will be part of our Interpretation and Education Team, providing visitor services which enable visitors to have a fulfilling and safe experience in Acadia National Park. Volunteers will primarily be stationed at our Hulls Cove Visitor Center or at the Sieur de Monts Nature Center providing park information and answering visitor questions, though on occasion they may be assigned to other locations. Volunteers will have one-on-one conversations with visitors providing information pertinent to the park and Mount Desert Island in general.

In addition, Volunteers will be asked to rove specific locations in the park to provide information and orientation to locations in the park. Qualified volunteers may be given the opportunity to present programming to the public under the direction of their supervisor.

Volunteers will be provided with a campsite, provided they volunteer 32 hours a week. The season length is preferably mid-May through early October, shorter 3 - 4-month seasons may be considered.
