Position Overview: The Site Maintenance/Grounds Keeper is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests. Reports To Maintenance Supervisor/General Manager Responsibilities Works closely with Front Desk Guest Services team to lead customers to their site after registration. Perform site maintenance/grounds keeping for all departure and arrival sites. Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and emptying trash receptacles. Deliver ice and firewood as requested. Enforce campground rules. Daily lawncare includes mowing, weeding, raking, trimming, and watering of lawns and shrubbery. Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment, golf carts, and power tools. Performs duties in a safe manner, adhering to all safety procedures and properly using safety equipment. Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as saws, and shovels efficiently. Removing fallen leaves by using a rake or leaf blower. Approach all encounters with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. Assists maintenance team with all aspects of property maintenance and repairs of grounds and facilities. Assists with maintenance issues as directed. Meets with Maintenance Manager/Operations Manager to report on the status of all scheduled maintenance work, notifying the supervisor of any hazardous conditions and recommended solutions. Utilizing insecticides, fertilizers, and chemical sprays to treat weeds and diseases. Ensures safe storage of hazardous chemicals and/or equipment. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Hear and speak the English language fluently. 6 months demonstrated knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, pool, and ground maintenance. Proficient in operating various hand tools and power equipment Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating equipment and/or machinery. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, climb and walk over uneven terrain. Should be comfortable working in adverse weather conditions occasionally. Should be able to lift up to 50lbs, lift and carry up to 25lbs occasionally and 10lbs regularly. Ability to respond to campground needs during non-business hours as assigned. Able to lead and serve as a role model. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations. Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver’s license
