Help preserve the history and operation of Yosemite National Park by supporting the Facilities Management team with important records and administrative projects.


This volunteer opportunity is ideal for organized, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working behind the scenes to make a lasting impact. Volunteers will assist with digitizing building records, scanning and organizing historical documents, creating searchable electronic filing systems, organizing asbestos and lead record archives, shredding records in accordance with record retention requirements, inventorying and organizing the Facilities Management uniform cache, and supporting other administrative and records management projects Training and supervision are provided by National Park Service Staff. No prior records management experience is required, although basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are helpful. This opportunity is available on a full time or part-time basis depending on project needs and volunteer availability. Work is primarily performed indoors in an office environment with occasional lifting of archive boxes and office supplies.
