Persimmon Gap Visitor Center is at the northern entrance of the park. Hosts help park rangers greet and orient visitors to Big Bend National Park and Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River. Hosts make sure visitors have a safe, enjoyable visit and know park rules and regulations.


Work Hours at 32 hours per week, three days in the Visitor Center and one day for projects/learning the park. You will commute 25 miles each day to your assignment. Host must furnish their own trailer or mobile home. Electrical, water and sewer hookups are provided at Panther Junction free of charge and propane is reimbursable. Laundry facilities are provided.
