Clear Invasive Species from Dyke Marsh!

On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was: it's invasive plants removal day.

These mean greens can't sit with us, so come out and help our partners Friends of Dyke Marsh clear them from this diverse wildlife preserve!

At 485 acres, the marsh is one of the biggest (and last) freshwater wetlands in the Washington, DC area, a haven for birds, blooms, and boats alike. Unfortunately, much invasive vegetation has also taken root, threatening to smother the park's natural beauty. With your efforts, we can get rid of non-native species and keep Dyke Marsh totally fetch!

Meet at the Haul Road Trailhead at 10:00 AM, where Friends group leaders will have all the supplies you need, though you can always bring your own gloves/tools. It might not be a Wednesday, but feel free to still wear pink...as long your clothes can protect you against thorns & poison ivy.
