Our team is looking for Educational Curriculum Volunteers! You would be creating California standards-based educational curriculum that Park Rangers and Outreach Volunteers will use in programs we will offer in local school districts. We’re looking for self-starters who have experience creating educational curriculum and associated materials (such as activities, props, and handouts). You would need to have your own computer and internet access in order to volunteer from home, as we do not have electronics or space available in our office. We ask that you create a minimum of one complete program approved after discussion with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Programs may include topics such as:

  • Corps Mission (flood risk management, navigation, water supply, regulatory, environmental stewardship, and recreation),
  • Cultural/Historical (archaeological sites, historical buildings, etc.),
  • Environmental (nature/environmental issues or programs),
  • General Safety (non-water related safety programs),
  • Project Tour (on-site tours provided by Corps staff of the main facilities relative to primary missions and features of the dam/project), and/or
  • Water Safety (water safety efforts, programs, and outreach).
